First Presbyterian Church of Oskaloosa, IA is actively involved in a variety of mission ministries! Missional purpose of our church extends to both our community and abroad.

One of the missions we support is Meals from the Heartland in Des Moines, IA. This important mission packs nutritious meals that are distributed in Iowa and through the US and 32 other countries. The cost of each meal is 20cents and feeds a family of six. Our group packed enough meals to feed 7,776 people and also brought donations to help MFTH with packing expense and supplies. Here are some pictures of our time volunteering.

Craft Fellowship!

In 2022 our church added a fellowship activity with the proceeds going towards missions. Each month a leader hosts a craft fellowship with a cost of $10 per person. The participants come together to learn a new craft and get to take home what they make. The money raised is then donated to a mission of the group's choice. So far we have raised money for the Presbyterian Refugee fund, Safe Water Ministries and New Hope Mission in Guatemala.

Operation Christmas Child!

Last year our church donated 122 shoeboxes for this mission. We will again up with Gibson Presbyterian for this mission project. This year our kick off will be Sunday, October 16th! Thank you for the donations, prayers and packers.
