Trae has served on six mission trips as well as participating in many local mission experiences during his time in youth group. Trae is a graduate of OHS will be attending the University of Northern Iowa in the fall to study Child Psychology. During our youth group awards night Trae was voted "Most likely to become a youth group leader!" We are so thankful to have had Trae in our HS youth fellowship. Best wishes and many blessings to you Trae!
Today our Zero Gravity Senior Spotlight features Shelby Holley! Shelby is a busy Senior at OHS and has been an active member of Zero Gravity Youth for the last 4 years. Shelby has served on many mission trip experiences as well as sharing her gift of music with our church during youth group special events and services. Shelby will be attending South Dakota State in the fall to study Political Science & Pre-Law. Shelby will be rooming with her dear friend Hannah Josko, formally of Oskaloosa and Zero Gravity Youth. Shelby was voted by our youth group "Most likely to appear on a reality TV show!" We know she is always up for a challenge and we wish her God's grace and blessings in all life's adventures.
Zero Gravity Senior Spotlight! Today we honor Jack Dawson, son of Shawn & Angela Dawson of Oskaloosa. There are times when our youth group members bring a friend to a meeting and three years later Jack is still coming to Zero Gravity! Jack went with our youth group on mission experiences like Operation Christmas Child in Minneapolis and Chicago. He also attended Student Life Missions in Georgia & Colorado. Jack will always be remembered as the student singing songs in the car or leading discussion worship at mission camp. We will miss his enthusiasm to serve and wish him all the best as he is off to the University of Northern Iowa to study Business. This past week Jack was voted "Most likely to never let his children run cross country!" 😂 He was also voted "Most likely to travel the world." Hopefully his travels be filled with many moments of appreciating all of God's great works. Peace be with you Jack from all of us at Zero Gravity!
Today's Zero Gravity Senior Spotlight we honor Colin Fiechtner, son of J.D. Fiechtner and Janet Reese of Oskaloosa. Previously having Colin's calm and quiet sisters Claire & Courtney in our youth group, we were not prepared for this whirlwind of a student! Colin has been the life of the youth group, always making us laugh and smile! Next year Colin will be attending University of Northern Iowa to major in Business & Theater. We know he will do well in both areas of study. During our youth group awards Colin was voted "Most likely to live in a big city." He was also voted "Most likely to become a stand-up comedian."😆 Needless to say Colin will be missed next year! Memories of Colin include his love for playing games, going on mission trips, making fun of Amy's cooking, and always wanting to play "Ducky Wucky." (Join youth group to learn this game!) Colin, you have been a joyful blessing to our youth group and we wish you well.
